The end of the year is coming up, which means it is time to start thinking New Years goals! Scripture reading is always on the list for us. This year I worked with The Crafting Chicks to design a 2017 scripture reading chart – something I was happy to design since I figured that this kind of scripture chart just might work perfect for our family too! The goal is to read from the scriptures every single day of the year. Yes, you can do it! This 2017 Scripture Reading Chart has a place to mark each day that you read, as well as hearts to track Family Home Evenings, and months at the bottom to track temple attendance.

I designed both a Primary theme version (which coordinates with my Primary 2017 theme designs), and a mutual version (coordinating with my Mutual 2017 theme designs).

2017 Scripture Reading Chart - Free Printable

I am providing the Primary version here as a free printable, available in an 8.5″x11″ PDF or a 16″x20″ JPEG. You choose which size works best for your family!

2017 Scripture Reading Chart on Crafting Chicks - Free Printable

With Thanksgiving coming up, our family needed a little extra something to get us thinking in the season. Last year I got a large paper roll and covered the inside of our front door with paper. Each time we thought of something we were grateful for, we wrote it on the paper. By Thanksgiving, we had a whole door-ful of things we were thankful for. This year I modified the idea and made up Thanksgiving grateful cards. Every time we think of something we are grateful for, we write it on a card and drop it in the vase.

We plan to fill up the vase by Thanksgiving, and then read them all out loud around the Thanksgiving table. It has been a fun way to get my kids thinking because, hey, there are so many things to be thankful for!

And yes, I am making these grateful cards available to you as a free PDF printable. One more thing to be grateful for! There are 10 cards to a sheet. Just print and cut out.

The LDS Mutual 2017 theme scripture is James 1:5-6, “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith…” (emphasis added). I love this scripture! I think it dates back to my missionary days, when I was able to share my testimony of Joseph Smith so many times and I got to know this scripture by heart! I was excited when the church announced it as the mutual 2017 theme scripture.

He Is Risen - free printable Easter TagI have been on an Easter kick all week! He Is Risen - free Easter printable bookmarkEvery year for Easter, my kids get a new book in their baskets, along with a few other fun summer items. This year I decided to design a bookmark to go along with their new books. I kept it spiritually themed — He Is Risen! — to help offset everything else in their baskets revolving around eggs, bunnies, and chocolate! (Not that I have anything against eggs, bunnies, or chocolate!)

He Is Risen - free Easter printable bookmarkI designed the bookmarks in four different colors (I have four different kids, after all!), and the fun, springy, Easter colors make me happy!

Ordinary people who... do simple things that are right before God will bring forth Extraordinary Results (David A. Bednar) - free printable JPEG

We just pulled off our Relief Society birthday dinner this last week. Our theme for the night was “Being Extraordinary,” and we loved this quote from Elder David A. Bednar: “Ordinary people who faithfully, diligently, and consistently do simple things that are right before God will bring forth extraordinary results.” We wanted to provide each of the women there with a notebook — somewhere to record and write down the simple, extraordinary things in their everyday lives. I designed and printed the cover for the notebooks, using this quote from Elder Bednar, and after we got them all put together, they turned out so darn cute!

Because we prepared a dinner program that revolved around each of the past General Relief Society presidents, we decided to decorate with colors and themes that represented the old and the new: deep reds, creams, lace, ornamental accents. I designed the cover of this notebook with that in mind. I used small 3.25″ x 4.5″ notebooks, printed off my design, and then glued them onto the cover of the notebooks using Super 77 spray glue.

Whenever I use spray glue, I always spend several minutes pressing the paper down firmly and evenly, which in my case includes using an old, clean paint roller.

After they were glued down, I took some scissors and trimmed around the edges. Voila! Finished and ready to give out!

Because I want to share the extraordinary, I am making this design with Elder Bednar’s quote available as a free printable!

This design is offered as a JPEG in both a 3.25″ x 4.5″ size (in case you want to make a notebook of your own!), or a traditional 5″ x 7″ size. And, just for variety, it comes in red with cream lettering, or cream with red lettering.

Let Us Be a Temple-Attending People (Howard W. Hunter) - free printable bookmark

“Let us be a temple-attending and a temple-loving people… The temple is a place of beauty, it is a place of revelation, it is a place of peace. It is the house of the Lord.” This year we are studying the teachings of Howard W. Hunter in Relief Society and I love this temple quote that came out of the Howard W. Hunter manual. Because I currently work in the Relief Society, I was able to design a large poster using this quote to hang in our Relief Society room. I then decided to share this design as a matching free printable bookmark. Now we can all benefit!

When my daughter was baptized a few months ago, I looked at every baptism memory book available in stores. Every single one. And for one reason or another, none of them seemed to fit what my daughter and I were looking for. That was, of course, when I buckled down and started designing!

LDS Baptism Memory Book - Printable 8.5x11 Pages

LDS Baptism Memory Book - Printable 8.5x11 Pages

I loved the idea that we could customize our own baptism memory book. We could choose the pages that we wanted, we could choose a color to fit my daughter’s personality (in her case, teal!), and we could save money by printing ourselves. We filled it with only pages we needed, and we filled it with only memories and photos that she wanted. And it made an awesome memory book for her to record her baptism memories! Since we placed the printed pages in a simple 3-ring binder, there is now room left for her to add other handouts, thoughts, or scriptures that she wants to save from Primary or Activity Days. It has become a truly personalized baptism book – just for her.

LDS Baptism Memory Book - Printable 8.5x11 Pages

Because these baptism memory book printable pages proved very successful for us, I added them to my Etsy shop! And yes, I added a few extra color options – just in case your child’s favorite color isn’t teal! These PDF printable pages are available in four different colors (purchase once and receive all four color options). Then print as many of each page as you need and fill it in with the memories and photos you want. Place the printed pages in a 8.5″ x 11″ binder or album, or have them spiral bound into a book at your favorite copy shop.

These PDF printable Baptism Memory Books include a title/picture page, pages for journaling and recording special facts about the baptism, pages for thoughts, memories and testimonies, informational pages on the baptismal covenant and the fourth article of faith, a guest sign-in page, and blank pages (use for placing extra photos of the special day, attach the baptism program, record extra thoughts or feelings, or attach special notes or cards from family and friends). Print the pages you need, add the memories you want, and Voila! – a personalized baptism memory book.

As in years past, I designed some Primary reminder cards/stickers for the new year featuring the 2016 Primary theme, “I know the scriptures are true.”

Primary Reminder Stickers 2016 (I Know the Scriptures are True)

These cards/stickers can be handed out to Primary children as a helpful reminder that they have been assigned to give a future talk, scripture, prayer, or article of faith in Primary. And because I received several requests last year for a reminder card that had a “theme” category instead of the “article of faith” category, I went ahead and designed two different versions this year – a card with categories for prayer, scripture, talk, and article of faith, and a second version with categories for prayer, scripture, talk, and theme. Choose which version works best for you!

Primary Reminder Stickers 2016 (I Know the Scriptures are True)

This free download is a 8.5 x 11 PDF file, with 10 cards/stickers per sheet. Two different colors are included on the page. It can be printed up and used as either Primary reminder cards (just print and cut out), or as Primary reminder stickers (sized to be printed directly onto 2 x 4 shipping label sheets). If printing onto shipping labels, be sure the “scale” is sized to 100% when printing — otherwise, they will just not fit on the label sheets correctly!
