LDS Baptism Memory Book – Printable 8.5 x 11 Pages

February 16th, 2016 | Posted by Jolyn in Church | Home & Family Life | Primary - (Comments Off on LDS Baptism Memory Book – Printable 8.5 x 11 Pages)

When my daughter was baptized a few months ago, I looked at every baptism memory book available in stores. Every single one. And for one reason or another, none of them seemed to fit what my daughter and I were looking for. That was, of course, when I buckled down and started designing!

I loved the idea that we could customize our own baptism memory book. We could choose the pages that we wanted, we could choose a color to fit my daughter’s personality (in her case, teal!), and we could save money by printing ourselves. We filled it with only pages we needed, and we filled it with only memories and photos that she wanted. And it made an awesome memory book for her to record her baptism memories! Since we placed the printed pages in a simple 3-ring binder, there is now room left for her to add other handouts, thoughts, or scriptures that she wants to save from Primary or Activity Days. It has become a truly personalized baptism book – just for her.

Because these baptism memory book printable pages proved very successful for us, I added them to my Etsy shop! And yes, I added a few extra color options – just in case your child’s favorite color isn’t teal! These PDF printable pages are available in four different colors (purchase once and receive all four color options). Then print as many of each page as you need and fill it in with the memories and photos you want. Place the printed pages in a 8.5″ x 11″ binder or album, or have them spiral bound into a book at your favorite copy shop.

These PDF printable Baptism Memory Books include a title/picture page, pages for journaling and recording special facts about the baptism, pages for thoughts, memories and testimonies, informational pages on the baptismal covenant and the fourth article of faith, a guest sign-in page, and blank pages (use for placing extra photos of the special day, attach the baptism program, record extra thoughts or feelings, or attach special notes or cards from family and friends). Print the pages you need, add the memories you want, and Voila! – a personalized baptism memory book.

As in years past, I designed some Primary reminder cards/stickers for the new year featuring the 2016 Primary theme, “I know the scriptures are true.”

Primary Reminder Stickers 2016 (I Know the Scriptures are True)

These cards/stickers can be handed out to Primary children as a helpful reminder that they have been assigned to give a future talk, scripture, prayer, or article of faith in Primary. And because I received several requests last year for a reminder card that had a “theme” category instead of the “article of faith” category, I went ahead and designed two different versions this year – a card with categories for prayer, scripture, talk, and article of faith, and a second version with categories for prayer, scripture, talk, and theme. Choose which version works best for you!

Primary Reminder Stickers 2016 (I Know the Scriptures are True)

This free download is a 8.5 x 11 PDF file, with 10 cards/stickers per sheet. Two different colors are included on the page. It can be printed up and used as either Primary reminder cards (just print and cut out), or as Primary reminder stickers (sized to be printed directly onto 2 x 4 shipping label sheets). If printing onto shipping labels, be sure the “scale” is sized to 100% when printing — otherwise, they will just not fit on the label sheets correctly!

Printable Goal Reminder Cards (Personal Progress, Faith In God, Cub Scouts)

Recently I was approached about designing some Personal Progress goal reminder cards. I immediately thought, “Why haven’t I thought of this before?” The Young Women will often work on a Personal Progress requirement on mutual night, but then they need to finish the project at home. (And often, the girls forget about it!) These goal reminder cards are the perfect way to send an actual reminder home with them!

I have worked in various church organizations and something like this would have really come in handy – on more than one occasion! So I decided to design not just Personal Progress goal reminder cards, but reminder cards for the Faith In God and Cub Scout requirements too. So for all of you who work with Young Women, Activity Days, or Cub Scouts, feel free to print, use, and share!

These goal reminder cards are designed in black & white to help save on ink and make it easy to make quick copies. They are put in an 8.5 x 11 size PDF document, with four reminder cards to a page. Print, copy, cut out, and use!

“Press Forward with a Steadfastness in Christ” (2 Nephi 31:20) is the new LDS youth mutual theme for 2016. I love designing with the scriptures because by the time I finish working a design, I have the scripture memorized! And I have these designs now available for purchase in my Etsy shop.

Press Forward with Steadfastness in Christ - Mutual 2016 Theme

Designs available include the scripture and scripture motto (shortened scripture) design, bookmarks, 2-inch round tiles on an 8×10 sheet (great to use for food toppers, banners, scrapbooking, crafting, stickers, etc.), and 1.15-inch round tiles on a 4×6 sheet. **New This Year — the 1.15-inch round tiles are formatted to fit on an Avery 1″ round sticker label sheet (Avery label #5410)! Woo-hoo! Or just print them up on paper or at a photo center and cut them out with a 1-inch craft punch.

These 1.15-inch rounds work great for stickers (just print them directly onto Avery #5410 round label sheets), pendants and jewelry, magnets, scrapbooking, etc.

This year I am again offering a 2016 LDS Mutual Theme Kit, which includes all of my designs in one place for a much cheaper price than buying individually!

Press Forward with Steadfastness in Christ - Mutual 2016 Theme Kit

The kit includes the scripture poster in all sizes (including large format), the scripture motto (shortened scripture) poster , round tile sheets (2-inch and 1.15-inch rounds), matching bookmarks, and matching water bottle labels. Not only that, but ALL of the above mentioned designs come in ALL eight of the Young Women value colors. This kit is great for coordinating bulletin boards, binder covers, decor, handouts, and gifts, and it is great to use for Evening of Excellence, New Beginnings, girls camp, or other special activities.

Simplify, Dieter F. Uchtdorf (free printable!)

Simplify, Dieter F. Uchtdorf - free printable!“Living the Gospel doesn’t need to be complicated… Step back, look at your life from a higher plane, and simplify your approach to discipleship.” President Uchtdorf’s talk at this last October 2015 LDS General Conference made so much sense to me! And I loved this quote from it. It reminded me of a newly-baptized convert I once knew who wanted to know why church members complained about the gospel being so complicated and hard to live – didn’t they know that it was the gospel and a knowledge of a loving God that made life easy and worth living! Listening to President Uchtdorf’s talk was a good reminder to me to allow the gospel to simply work in my life. Actually, I loved so many of the talks. But this one is going on my bookshelf. And because I want the share the good things, I am making this quote available to go on your bookshelf too.

This “Simplify” quote comes in gray or in white (for you ink savers!), and it is available in 5 x 7 (JPEG), 8 x 10 (JPEG), or 8.5 x 11 (PDF). Click on the link below to download.

Fill-in Dinner Menu (free 8 x 10 printable!)

September 18th, 2015 | Posted by Jolyn in Home & Family Life - (Comments Off on Fill-in Dinner Menu (free 8 x 10 printable!))

Dinner Menu 8x10 Printable

What’s for dinner? If you are like me, then you don’t know yet! I am horrible at keeping up with dinner, and I usually don’t start thinking about dinner until around 5:00… which is around the time I start feeling hungry! Of course, that means that dinner is usually not anything that takes more than 20 minutes to prepare (not that there is anything wrong with that!) However, I have had intentions for awhile of trying to prepare a few more thought-out, healthy meals for my family.

Therefore, in an effort to reform my bad dinner preparation habits, I designed an 8 x 10 dinner menu to keep in my kitchen. And just in case I’m not the only one that struggles with dinner, I felt I needed to share it!

You can print it, frame it, and use a dry-erase marker to write on the glass. Or, you can laminate it, throw some sticky magnet strips on the back, put it up on your fridge, and use a dry-erase marker to write on it. Either way works!

So, here goes – six different color options, with the option of downloading either an 8 x 10 JPEG image or an 8 x 10 PDF (for ease in printing, the PDF file has an 8 x 10 menu design put on an 8.5 x 11 size page.)

The LDS Primary theme for 2015 is “I Know My Savior Lives,” and I have been working hard to get my designs finished! My new designs are available in my Etsy store and I am very excited about them.

I Know My Savior Lives

This year’s designs come in four different colors (blue-green, purple-turquoise, teal-raspberry, and gold-slate), and anything purchased in my Etsy store comes in ALL four colors! Yep, no more having to choose a color here – you get all four!

I Know My Savior Lives

The “I Know My Savior Lives” printable poster prints (in 4×6, 5×7, and 8×10) can be found in my Etsy store here. These are great to print up for home or church use, and they can be used for framing, hanging, binder covers, gifts, etc. And this year I am also offering a 2015 LDS Primary Theme Kit which I am very excited about. It includes the printable theme poster in all sizes (including large format sizes), as well as printable round & square tile sheets (1×1 squares, 1-inch circles, and 2-inch circles), and a matching bookmark. And, as mentioned, all of these designs come in ALL four color options.

I Know My Savior Lives 2015 Theme Kit

And we can make it even better by adding a free printable, right? I designed up matching “I Know My Savior Lives” 2015 Primary reminder cards/stickers. And they come in all four colors, as well. These cards/stickers can be handed out to Primary children as a helpful reminder that they have been assigned to give a future talk, scripture, prayer, or article of faith in Primary.

This free download is a 8.5 x 11 PDF file, with 10 cards/stickers per sheet. If printing onto shipping labels, be sure the “scale” is sized to 100% when printing — otherwise, they will not fit on the label sheets correctly no matter how frustrated you get!

O Ye That Embark In the Service of God (2015 LDS Mutual Theme)

Embark In The Service Of God - YWcolors

The LDS mutual theme scripture  for 2015 is D&C 4:2 (O Ye That Embark In the Service of God). Maybe this scripture excites me because while serving as a missionary myself, we memorized this entire section in the Doctrine & Covenants and recited it at every zone conference. Parts of it still run through my head now and again. So maybe there is some nostalgia associated with it, maybe I liked it because I already had it memorized, or maybe it is just a great scripture full of truth! But, I think it is fair to say that designing a mutual theme poster with this scripture on it was a fun endeavor for me. My new designs are available in my Etsy store and I am very excited about them.

Embark In The Service Of God - 2015 Theme Kit

This year I am also offering a 2015 LDS Mutual Theme Kit, which includes the scripture poster in all sizes (4×6, 5×7, 8×10, 11×14, and 16×20), printable round & square tile sheets (1×1 squares, 1-inch circles, and 2-inch circles), and a matching bookmark. Not only that, but all of the above mentioned designs come in ALL eight of the Young Women value colors. This kit is perfect to use to coordinate bulletin boards, binder covers, handouts, and gifts, and it is great to use for Evening of Excellence, New Beginnings, girls camp, or other special activities.

A Thankful Heart is the Parent of all Virtues, Dieter F. Uchtdorf (free printable!)

Thankful Heart, Uchtdorf - free printable

I always love messages from President Dieter F. Uchtdorf. But seriously, weren’t all of the messages from the April 2014 General Conference amazing?! President Uchtdorf’s message on being “Grateful in any Circumstance” particularly touched me. I have put a lot of thought and effort into trying to teach my children the characteristic of gratitude as a cure in an ever-increasing world of entitlement, selfishness, and disappointment. I loved this talk about being grateful in any circumstance. I immediately re-listened to it, took notes, and pulled my favorite quotes (and there were quite a few, actually!) I made up this 5×7 printable, “A thankful heart is the parent of all virtues,” for my home and I want to share it with you! I made it up in several different colors so you can choose what works best for you.

Matching Graphic Tiles: CTR and It’s Great To Be 8

February 25th, 2014 | Posted by Jolyn in Church | Primary - (Comments Off on Matching Graphic Tiles: CTR and It’s Great To Be 8)

CTR and Its Great To Be 8 graphic tiles - cupcake toppers

I have had digital CTR graphic tile sheets available in my Etsy shop for quite awhile, but recently added have been some matching “It’s Great to Be 8” tiles! Exciting! I finally got them up in my shop (after multiple requests for them). And even better, there are two different designs to choose from: the flower design (the more feminine option) and the shield and stripe design (the more generic option). Both the CTR tiles and the “It’s Great to Be 8” tiles come in either design, and both designs come in four different colors. Now, how is that for some super designing?!

My girls were excited to see what we could do with these designs. So, we had to have cupcakes… with CTR and “It’s Great to Be 8” toppers. And they had to have flower necklaces too. Needless to say, we have had a lot of fun with these digital tiles. The ideas of what you can do with these are endless — baptism invitations, primary decorations, scrapbooking, baptism gifts such as jewelry, magnets, zipper pulls, etc.

CTR and Its Great To Be 8 graphic tiles - necklaces

So here are the links to my Etsy shop for these digital JPEG tile sheets:

• CTR flower tiles: 1-inch rounds, 1×1 squares, 2-inch rounds

• “It’s Great To Be 8” flower tiles: 1-inch rounds, 1×1 squares, 2-inch rounds

• CTR shield & stripe tiles: 1-inch rounds, 1×1 squares, 2-inch rounds

• “It’s Great To Be 8” shield & stripe tiles: 1-inch rounds, 1×1 squares, 2-inch rounds

So many options! I can assure you that we have had a pretty good time with these lately!
